Ten year ago a Sanderson PTO mom said, “Instead of raising money by selling things from China why don’t we sell things made here?”

It seemed like a great idea and so the Sanderson Local Goods Catalog was formed. The PTO, a few community members, businesses, crafters, artists, and farmers, worked together to create a fundraiser that benefits children, vendors, and customers in a fun way. Plus the money that is spent stays in the community. The funds go to teachers for classroom expenses, support field trips, and pay for after-school activities. Vendors are paid for their goods and donate 20% or more to the PTO. Some “Angels” donate 100% or their intake to the PTO. You’ll see this little angel next to those listings. There’s something for everyone. You can get great items and gifts while helping Sanderson students.
